The ASTRI Mini-Array project is an Italian initiative with significant international partners, aimed at building nine Cherenkov telescopes at the Teide Observatory (Tenerife, Spain).
The VHE group contributes to the development of calibration tools—such as the illuminator for optical efficiency measurement—and to defining the data analysis pipeline (A-SciSoft). It also applies deep learning techniques to improve event reconstruction and identification of particles responsible for gamma-ray emission.
The ASTRI Mini-Array will also be used for multi-messenger astrophysics, with a focus on identifying GRBs with redshift below 1.
