The Research Area 2 Group at the Rome Astronomical Observatory is active in several fields of research, both observational and theoretical, ranging from stellar formation and evolution to stellar structure and the study of stellar populations, with particular emphasis on data management for the European Space Agency’s Gaia satellite.
